BRAISE 's project
Research team
Anne-Laure DANIAU, project leader
Anne-Laure is Chargé de Recherche de Classe Normale at the CNRS in the Paleoclimate Research Group of the Unité Mixte de Recherche EPOC. She is an expert on long marine charcoal sediment records with a special interest in the controls of fire in different climates.
Marion GENET
Marion graduated with a Master degree from the University of Perpignan (France) and started her PhD at the University of Bordeaux in September 2018. She is developing the charcoal calibration on marine surface sediment samples from the Mediterranean Sea and the Iberian margin.
Aritina Haliuc
Aritina graduated with a PhD degree from the University of Suceava (Romania) in 2016. She joined us in January 2020 as a post-doctoral researcher to focus on samples from the East Atlantic Ocean.
Sabine Schmidt
Sabine is Directeur de Recherche (DR2) at the CNRS in Sedimentology. She is an expert in particle transfer on margin and in the dating of sediment cores using 210Pbxs and will develop top sediment age models.
Valérie David
Valérie is Maître de Conférences at the University of Bordeaux in Ecology. She is an expert in statistics applied to environmental data and will supervise the statistical analyses of data.
Vincent Hanquiez
Vincent is Ingénieur d’Etude (PhD degree in Sedimentology). He is an expert in GIS and will provide technical help in GIS data extraction and formatting.
Muriel Georget
Muriel is an experienced lab technician working 40% of her time on preparing microcharcoal slides.
